Neuroscience Doctoral Candidate at Brigham Young University

My research interests include the pathophysiology of concussions, how they progress, how we can treat them, and how we can decrease their long-term effects. Through possible routes such as HRV’s effect from concussion or neurocognitive treatment with tPBM, I plan to apply my research to the athletes I work with and to the broader to the community. As a certified athletic trainer for the last 15+ years in different settings and now with BYU football, I have seen firsthand how concussions affect athlete's lives. I want to be at the forefront of research in this field and hopefully one day teach rehabilitation techniques to future students.
