Whiteny Allen

4th Year BYU Graduate Student

I am from a small town in Idaho and I love scuba diving, reading, eating, swimming, and biking. I am studying clinical psychology with a neuro emphasis. I would like to work with older adults in both a clinical and research setting. I specifically would like to study the mechanisms underlying neurocognitive disorders such as Alzheimer’s and apply rehabilitation techniques in a similar population. While working in this lab, I have come to understand the importance of learning an individual’s story. Everyone has a unique past that can influence their life and opinions; therefore, it is an important and often joyous experience to learn about a person’s history.
